The final day of our week on Dinosaurs...oh and before that... TGIF!
We began by assembling our dino craft to complete our 'Jurassic World'! As this was happening, we clearly heard the children humming and softly singing; the song -Tyrannosaurus Rex, the mighty dinosaur. It was king in the age of dinosaurs...
You will find hand print dinosaurs, 3 D models of dinosaurs, their eggs and nests, trees, a rainbow and even some hot dogs to complete the habitat. Now, who's to say that Dino's were not into rainbows and hot dogs?
Making the skeleton of an Apatosaurus, using spaghetti, completed our dinosaur art and craft projects.
We also did the requested 'photo-opp' which was a thrill! Pictured here are the slammers doing just that.
"..could we have dino jello again?" as requested by our slammers yesterday and so we did! That was the snack, late morning!
The wall hanging made, using coloured rice grains was also completed and sent home. It was interesting to see children mix the coloured material and make various patterns on the drawing. Not dissimilar to creating 'Rangoli' or a 'Mandala'.
Coach Annie took the children to a whole new level. She has nothing but praise for the children who are able to follow and do their routines remarkably well. Today the children took to the trampoline and they also had fun with the 'parachute'
Movie Time @The Theatre at Broadrick, with popcorn as we watched 'The good dinosaur'.
Ananya volunteered to read a fun story to her friend about a Dinosaur's day out! Fascinating!
Music Session with Geethan.
Geethan taught us to listen to the music and play to time using percussion instruments.
Basketball - our finalĂ© and match of the season…was a close contest between Yem Ananya and Team Christoph. Team 'A' edged out 'Team C' in a thrilling moment.
The grape popsicles were just what we wanted to beat the heat after that fun game and scores melted away as did the popsicles!
We hope you had a great week, just as we did!
We look forward to seeing our slammers with some new joiners in the coming week.
Oops... forgot to say bye bye
