Hello Parents,
Welcome to Week 2 of Summer Slam 2018. We are happy to see almost all of our Slammers from last week join us this week as well, and a big hello to our new joiners!
We began the day with an exciting Science experiment involving baking soda and vinegar. Food colouring, baking soda and vinegar all came together to create what was overheard as; “it’s like a volcano erupting!”

Yeah! Gymnastics time with Coach Annie and assistant coach Geethan. The new joiners were given a quick introduction to this amazing sport.
Today's plan included: standing long jump, star jump, donkey kick, bunny hop, kangaroo hop, and more.
We have been encouraging our slammers to brush their teeth after lunch and some of them are seen doing just that, quite spontaneously.
After lunch, we all gathered in ‘Zone 1’ to prepare a quick snack. Crackers with a creme cheese and strawberry preserve. Mmmmm. Some opted for more cheese while others, for more jam - an enjoyable experience with a choice!

Post-lunch and it was time for sports. This week we are learning to play Rugby while next week will see us introduce cricket. Uncle Dennis & Uncle Sathish introduced us to Rugby beginning with a bit of history (one must know that Rugby came about by accident when Soccer was the mainstay at the time. Then began the explanation of the rules in preparation for the drills that will be done until Friday when we will have our 'finals'!
